OET fees by mode
OET publishes its fees in Australian dollars (AUD), plus US dollars (USD) for computer and home tests in the USA. It gives no fee in rupees, pounds, euros or pesos, so budget from the AUD or USD figure. The full test covers Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

A Writing-only resit does not suit every regulator. The UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) only combines sittings that include all 4 skills, and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) does not accept combined results at all. Check your regulator’s rule before you buy a partial resit; the score requirements guide lists them.
Rescheduling fees
Moving a full test costs more once bookings for your original date have closed. OET rescheduling fees and deadlines.

The cheaper Speaking-only change keeps you in the same test administration, meaning the same test date’s set of sessions. If you miss your Speaking test, contact OET within 24 hours of the start time to ask to reschedule; the fee is AUD 100. OET: manage your booking; OET test regulations §9.1.

For OET on Computer and OET@Home, the fee kept plus the refund comes to AUD 7 less than the test fee (USD 5 less in the USA). OET does not explain the difference, so ask OET how much you will get back before you cancel.
Refunds reach the card you paid with within 7 to 10 business days. Paper refunds stop 1 week before test day and computer or home refunds 2 days before.
If you miss the test, you only get a refund with evidence of extenuating circumstances: something exceptional that stopped you attending. Send OET that evidence within 5 business days. OET test regulations.
Re-mark and appeal fees
A re-mark costs AUD 120 per sub-test (USD 95 in the USA), and OET refunds it if your grade changes. Each appeal stage costs AUD 120 (USD 95 in the USA). Special testing arrangements cost nothing extra. OET re-marking policy.
Changing mode, country or profession
OET’s rules on switching mode are unclear; ask OET before you book. Its regulations say “You cannot reschedule to change the test mode” and rule out changing profession or country, yet its Manage your booking page describes a computer or home test type change up to 2 days before the first sub-test. If you are unsure which mode to choose, settle it before paying. OET test regulations §9.1.
Discounted bookings cannot be rescheduled or moved to another venue. You would need to cancel, lose the cancellation fee, and book again.
