About OETify

OETify helps nurses prepare for OET with practice that explains every mistake and shows how to fix it. We built it so that each piece of feedback tells you what went wrong, why it matters and what to write or say instead. Your practice is planned around your target and the time you have each day; How OETify works sets out the four steps from the free baseline to your next correction.

What readiness can tell you

A readiness band estimates how prepared you are from your recent work, and shows how certain that estimate is. It cannot give you an OET result or promise a future grade.

Preparation estimate Official OET result
OETify readiness band OET score and letter grade for each sub-test
Used to guide preparation Shared with recognising organisations through your OET account
Uncertainty shown Acceptance and validity depend on the receiving organisation

Official reporting and validity are set out in the OET handbook and OET’s results guidance.

OETify does not give a predicted score for Writing or Speaking. Feedback shows how your work is improving against OET’s criteria, but it cannot tell you whether you have reached your required grade.

Your work and your account

If an agency sponsors you, your account and private work stay yours. An agency sees only the fields you choose to share, for as long as you allow, and never your letters, recordings or detailed feedback.

You can export your data or delete your account from Settings in the app. Deletion asks you to confirm your identity, and it happens after a 24-hour grace period. Work still being processed, or records we must keep by law, can delay or block it. Photos and recordings appear in an export only if they are still stored and you still permit their use.

OETify does not keep voice recordings for replay. The written conversation and its feedback may be saved. Live transcription needs your consent as well as microphone permission.

Use fictional patient details in practice, with no real names, dates of birth or confidential identifiers. The Privacy policy and agency permissions answer data questions.

Content questions and contact

Signed-in learners can report a content problem or open a support ticket in the app.

Website error reports go to support@oetify.com. We check each report against the cited sources within 7 days, and a corrected page shows an “Updated on” date with what changed. The editorial standards explain how the site is written and checked.

Common questions

Who owns the OET test?
Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment owns OET. It is a venture between Cambridge English (Aus) and Box Hill Institute.
Is OETify endorsed by OET?
OETify is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OET or Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment. OET is a trademark of its owner.
What is an OETify readiness band?
It estimates how prepared you are from your recent work and shows how certain that estimate is. It is not an official OET score and does not promise a grade.
Does an agency own your OETify account?
No. Paying for or referring you does not give an agency your account or private work. An agency sees progress only if you choose to share it, and only the fields and period you pick.
