Accessibility statement

You can use OETify’s website with a keyboard and see which link or control has focus. Its app includes labelled controls, visible selection states and passage text-size choices for Reading Parts B and C. We have not yet tested these features fully across devices and assistive tools.

Website features

The site declares British English as its language. A keyboard skip link goes to the main content. Navigation and breadcrumbs have labels that identify them to screen readers, tools that read screen content aloud. Headings and a marked main-content area help you find sections. Links and expandable sections show an outline when they have keyboard focus. In sample practice, the browser identifies required answers left blank. After you check your answers, each question shows “Correct” or “Not quite” in text, not colour alone. Keyboard focus moves to the feedback when it opens. Text and layout adjust to screen size.

App features

Shared app controls tell screen readers their label, control type and selection state. In the web app, you can activate radio buttons, checkboxes and switches with Space or Enter. Words show selected or on states; Reading feedback does not depend on colour alone. Shared controls have minimum touch areas, and loading animations follow your device’s reduced-motion preference.

Reading manages focus when passages or questions change. Reading Parts B and C passage text offers 100%, 120%, 140% and 200% sizes alongside your device’s font scaling. The app stores accessibility preferences for captions, reduced motion, audio support and large text. A saved preference does not mean every piece of media has an accessible alternative.

Known gaps

We have not yet tested on Android devices with TalkBack, Android’s screen reader. Those tests will cover TalkBack, 200% text, measured contrast, focus order, keyboard and assistive-switch use, and controls for people with limited movement. Code checks and simulated devices do not replace testing on physical devices. Coverage across iOS, browsers and assistive tools is incomplete. OETify does not claim universal Web Content Accessibility Guidelines AA conformance or assistive-technology certification.

We have not yet confirmed that all media has captions or an audio alternative. Speaking feedback uses transcripts and timing; it cannot judge pronunciation, accent or voice quality from the recording.
